Sky's the Limit Dog Training partners with local animal rescue organizations to train and make pets more adoptable! Here are some success stories - dogs that have found their forever homes!
Congratulations to my dog, Sunny, who earned his Novice and Intermediate Trick Dog Titles through Do More With Your Dog. Sunny has been working very hard on his tricks and it has paid off. :-) Next is the Advanced Title!
Working on tricks is a great way to develop a strong bond with your dog while mentally & physically challenging your four legged friend. Trick training also helps us to work on our communication skills in a fun and rewarding exercise with our dog.
Harley (now Carly), 1 yr old Australian Cattle Dog mix from Australian Cattle Dog Rescue MN , is now part of my family. She's a really good girl, and she is gaining confidence in herself every day with the help of Sunny, my dog, along with some training and socialization.
Here is Fidget, a 1yr old cattle dog mix, working on “leave it” with her Corner of Kindness foster mom, Brooke. Fidget picked up several tricks very quickly but she needed some socialization work. She was very reactive to other dogs when on leash, but has really improved her social skills after just three sessions. Walks are much more fun for her now!
Victory found his forever home and is very happy in his new surroundings. He is a calm, peaceful boy that loves to go on walks and check out new places. Corner of Kindness Rescue helped Victory through a tough time in his life, sickness & injury, and now he is in his new home. Way to go Victory.
Kya is a gentle Shepard mix that came to Corner of Kindness Rescue with tick borne disease and heartworm. Kya went through treatments and gained her strength back as well as her desire to start a new life. She is now into her next stage of life thanks to her new forever mom. You deserve it Kya, good luck girl!
Kiva, the deaf cattle dog from Australian Cattle Dog Rescue MN, would have quite a story to tell if she could talk… Kiva was in the rescue system for some time due to her high energy and drive levels, but she is such a sweetie that no one gave up on her and now she is in her forever home! Her new family understands her desire to work and they train obedience and tricks with her often. Good for Kiva!!
It's tricky training a small-stature dog, you have to find out what they like. Louie will sit, down, up on two and agility was fun for him too - jumping through hoops and weaving between the legs. After being in the foster system for over a year, he finally found his forever home via Corner of Kindness Animal Rescue.
